Nirbhaya case: Mukesh Sharma says he was not in Delhi on day of crime, seeks stay on death sentence

Just 3 days ahead of the scheduled hanging of the four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape-murder case, one of the four convicts, Mukesh Singh has filed a petition in a Delhi court claiming he was not in the national capital on the day of the crime. Mukesh's lawyer ML Sharma moved his plea seeking a stay on the execution scheduled for 5.30 am on March 20. The court has reserved its order on the petition.
