Nirbhaya case: Convicts move Delhi court seeking stay on death sentence

The convicts of the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape murder case, moved Delhi's Patiala House Court seeking a stay on the death warrant execution on Wednesday, merely 2 days ahead of the hanging. Advocate A P Singh, the counsel for the four convicts, moved the court on their behalf. Singh claimed that he has filed a curative petition on behalf of convict Pawan Gupta in the Supreme Court and a mercy petition on behalf of Akshay Singh.
