According to the United Nations, Malian and Burkinabe security forces in Mali are responsible for the extrajudicial killing of nearly 150 people. The revolt that started in northern Mali in 2012 has now spread across the country. It has reached Burkina Faso and Niger despite the presence of UN forces. The Mali-based United Nations mission, MINUSMA held Malian security forces responsible for serious human rights violations.
