Indian intern arrested in US for tech scam of worth over $900,000

An Indian college intern has been arrested in the US with a punishment of 60 months in prison for giving tech support to a telemarketing scam that fooled close to 2 dozen people. It was not only Bishwajeet Kumar Jha, 21, who defrauded people but many other interns from the same college in India. They duped people with their retirement savings, the Department of Justice said. The defrauded people of at least $937,280.
