Zomato denies reports suggesting acquisition of Grofers by it amid Covid-19

Food delivery platform Zomato on Tuesday refuted reports that the company is in talks with Gurugram-based grocery delivery platform Grofers to acquire it for nearly $750 million. The reports started to emerge as Zomato teamed up with Grofers for grocery delivery as food-delivery operations remain suspended amid the lockdown. Zomato has started grocery delivery in over 80 Indian cities with supplying essentials.
