Vaccination rate important factor for Indian economy's steady growth: IMF chief Gita Gopinath

International Monetary Fund chief Gita Gopinath has said India needs to maintain the vaccination pace in order to achieve steady economic growth. "Manufacturing and services sectors have shown improvement after the crushing second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic subsided but the area of focus would be public infrastructure investment," the IMF chief economist said. She added that small-scale enterprises need more support.
