US-based Ebix acquires Indian online travel booking company 'Yatra' in $337 million

The US-based software firm 'Ebix' is acquiring Indian online travel booking company 'Yatra' in $337 million in an all-stock deal. This acquisition will help Ebix to strengthen its position in hotel and flight ticketing business in India. Yatra will be a part of Ebix’s EbixCash travel portfolio along with Via & Mercury; will continue to serve the customers under the Yatra brand. So, Yatra will retain its brand & status in India.
