In an apparent bid to safeguard itself from a corruption probe in New York, the National Rifle Association is going to file for bankruptcy protection from creditors. The firm said it was moving to Texas while filing for bankruptcy protection. The firm has filed petitions for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a Dallas court. NRA said the move was aimed at freeing it "from the toxic political environment in New York."
