US accounts for one-fourth of the Coronavirus fatalities across the globe, with 50,000 deaths

According to the Baltimore-based university, the death toll in US due to the coronavirus has reached 51,017 with as many as 1,258 deaths on Friday, as reported by Johns Hopkins University. US has been by far the hardest-hit country in the global pandemic. United States now accounts for one-fourth of the global death toll due to coronavirus. New York has reported the highest number of cases of the coronavirus in the country.
