Uber no longer world’s most valuable startup
After SoftBank’s investment in Uber, the ride-hailing app is no more world’s most valuable startup. SoftBank has bought a 15% stake in Uber, which now values at $48 billion or 30% lower than the previous valuation. The most valuable title now holds another ride service app, Beijing-based Didi Chuxing founded in 2012. Investors claim Didi’s valuation is now almost $56 billion. In 2016 also, Uber lost its place to Didi.
