Top economists predict 15-25% contraction in India's GDP in June quarter

According to the prediction by several top economists, India's GDP could see a contraction somewhere in the range of 15 percent to 25 percent during the June quarter. However, the official estimates of India's economic growth for the April-June quarter will be announced by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on August 31. If the predictions turn out to be true, it will be India's worst growth since 1996.
