TikTok owner ByteDance planning investment worth billions in Singapore

Amid the rising troubles for TikTok, the video-sharing app's owner ByteDance is planning to invest billions of dollars and recruit hundreds of employees in Singapore over the next three years. According to some sources, the company is purchasing cloud-computing servers in Singapore to backup U.S. data for contingency. TikTok has also moved some engineers from China to Singapore at the beginning of this year.
