Tesla Nevada factory was on the radar of hackers, 'serious' cyberattack attempt thwarted, confirms Elon Musk

Tech mogul and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has confirmed that the firm's Nevada factory was a target of a "serious" cybersecurity attack. Musk confirmed a media report according to which, an employee of the company helped the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) thwart the attack. The malware launched by the attackers was designed to extract data from the network and then to threaten the company for ransom money.
