Sensex tanks over 2,700 points as Russia invades Ukraine

Indian stock markets ended in the red on Thursda in line with global market meltdown. The BSE Sensex tanked over 2,702.15 points to end at 54,529.91 while the Nifty tumbles 815.30 points to 16,247.95 amidst deepening Russia-Ukraine crisis that continued to dent investor sentiment. The Rupee plummets 109 paise to close at 75.70 (provisional) against US dollar as Russia announces military operation in Ukraine.
