Payments banks collectively loss Rs 626 cr in FY19

The Payments Bank industry in the country is facing dark times. Despite some improvement in net interest income and non-interest income, the collective loss of the payment bank industry has increased by 21% to Rs 628 crore in the financial year 2019. The industry has hugely impacted by the restrictions and limitations imposed upon it. However, the interest income of Payment Banks has increased by 45% in FY19.
