Swedish car manufacturer Volvo has recalled more than 500,000 cars worldwide, including 70,000 in the UK because of a fire risk in the engine. Volvo says a plastic part in the engine has been liable to melt and deform that might result in a possible engine fire, in rare cases. Letters have been sent to the owners of the affected cars and drivers have been told it is safe to continue using their vehicle.
