Online orders surged; Amazon hired 1 lakh workers

E-commerce is one of Amazon’s strongest verticals and due to the Coronavirus crisis, there is a sharp surge in their orders in last few days. People are forced to stay in their home to stop the spreading of COVID-19 and due to that many of them are placing orders from the e-commerce sites. According to the reports, the company will increase the workers’ pay by $2 per hour till the end of April for their hourly employees.
