Profitability remains elusive for US-based ecommerce giant Amazon in India nearly a decade after its entry in the country despite an investment of over $6.5 Bn, brokerage firm Bernstein has said. In a research report, Bernstein said that Amazon’s report card in the country is “decidedly mixed”. Amazon is not only lagging behind its major Indian peers like Flipkart and Reliance but also new-age social commerce players, Bernstein analysts noted.
