Nandan Nilekani calls for crypto to be seen as investment asset class in India

Infosys cofounder and the architect of India’s Aadhaar programme Nandan Nikelani has backed the use of crypto as an investment asset class, to be bought and sold like a commodity or shares, amid confusion about the regulatory stance on crypto in India. Nilekani had previously proposed the concept of using the $2 Tn pool of global crypto wealth to solve credit scarcity among small businesses in India.
