More than 50,000 home loans disbursed by HDFC bank under PMAY in six months

The demand for affordable home loans under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) continued to rise despite the economic crisis posed by the coronavirus pandemic. The HDFC approved loans worth Rs 38,000 crore for 50,000 homes in the past six months since April. The credit-linked subsidy scheme (CLSS) was launched in June 2015 to help lower and middle-class families in buying affordable homes with the help of a fixed subsidy.
