Kapil Wadhawan had full control of DHFL, he diverted Rs 2,186 crore to buy Mirchi properties

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) yesterday arrested Kapil Wadhawan, aka Kapil Diwan, promoter and former CMD of Diwan Housing Finance Ltd (DHFL), making it the fifth arrest in the case. The ED found out that Wadhawan diverted Rs 2,186 crore from DHFL to buy Mirchi properties. Wadhawan had been to London with Chandresh Jhunjhunwala, to meet Iqbal Mirchi in 2010 but didn't meet him. He had full control over DHFL.
