Jeff Bezos to step down as Amazon CEO on July 5, Andy Jassy to take charge

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has decided to step down as the firm's CEO on July 5. “We chose that date because it's sentimental for me," Bezos said while explaining that Amazon was incorporated exactly 27 years ago on that date in 1994. Amazon executive Andy Jassy will take charge as the new CEO of the firm. The firm had made the announcement regarding Bezos' stepping down as the CEO in February this year.
