India is forecast to grow at 10.1% in 2022, becoming the fastest growing major economy in the world, the United Nations said, but cautioned that the growth outlook of 2021 was "highly fragile" as the country was the "new hotbed of the pandemic." At a growth rate of 10.1% in 2022, India will be the fastest growing major economy in the world, ahead of China, which is projected to grow at 5.8%, a slowdown from 8.2% in 2021.
