Google has bought Dublin-based startup Pointy for $163 million. The startup has built hardware & software technology to help physical retailers get their products discoverable online without any extra work. Google is on a long term mission to build inroads into the world of e-commerce by working more closely with brick and mortar retailers. Pointy is just 6 years old & had raised under $20 million from a variety of investors.
