The global airline industry is expected to record its lowest profits in 5 years as fuel costs rise & world trade weakens. However, India & China would account for nearly half of air passenger growth worldwide over the next 2 decades. India was one of the fastest growing domestic aviation markets in the world for nearly 5 years. Despite the competition between airlines & rising costs, the industry is expected to grow higher than 2017.
