Former RBI governor wants India to look beyond rating agencies

Raghuram Rajan, the former RBI governor has said that India should not remain limited to focusing on what sovereign rating agencies think as it can divert the attention from what is needed to be done for the recovery of the economy. "It is also important to convince both domestic and international investors that after the pandemic is over, we will return to fiscal responsibility over the medium term," he said.
