Firstcry raised $296 million from Softbank

Firstcry, the Pune-based baby products marketplace has raised $296 million in its Series E funding round, which was led by Japan-based marquee investor Softbank’s Vision Fund. This new funding has taken Firstcry’s valuation to $1.2 billion and with that, the company is the newest member of India’s unicorn club. Firstcry offers different categories of baby and kids products and has a user base of more than 4 million.
