Nirmala Sitharaman's economy-boosting measures make investors' wealth zoom by Rs 6.82 lakh crore in a day. The BSE index zoomed from 2284.55 points to 38378.02, its biggest intra-spike in a decade. The govt cut the corporate tax rate for companies by almost 10% to 25.17% & allowed a lower rate to 17.01% for new manufacturing firms to boost the economic growth rate. No tax will be charged on share buyback by listed firms.
