Every second shopper online is a new shopper: Nielson report

As per Nielson report on e-commerce & online shoppers, smartphones contribute 48% in terms of value contribution to the e-commerce sector followed by fashion with a share of 16% and 11% each for FMCG & large appliance categories. FMCG dominates with a 56% share, fashion with 24%, mobile or electronics accessories have a 10% share. The report also stated that every 2nd shopper online is a new shopper with 56% 1st-time shoppers.
