SpaceX-mogul Elon Musk has surpassed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to become the third-richest person in the world. Musk's net worth reached $111.9 billion compared with $111.2 billion for Zuckerberg after the stocks of Tesla continued to surge following a forward stock split. Musk saw an increase of $76.1 billion in his net worth this year. The shares of Tesla surged more than 475% in the same period.
