Elon musk explains purpose of camera in Tesla’s Model 3

The questions were being raised over the presence of a camera located above the Model 3’s rear-view mirror, to which Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that it is there because the car might eventually start working as an autonomous taxi to compete with Uber/Lyft. It will also help you to check if someone tried to mess up with your vehicle, the CEO said on Twitter. It could also expand the car’s Sentry Mode.
