DoT scrutinizing Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service in India

The telecom department has been active in probing foreign technologies since the blocking of Chinese apps. This time it's the satellite internet service offer by Elon Musk's Starlink, that has come under the scanner of the Department of Telecommunications. The agency is probing if the service violates any provisions of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933, or the Information Technology Act, 2000.
