Domino's Pizza had to pay a penalty of 10 lakh for charging customers for carry bags

Dominos Pizza had to pay 10lakh as a fine for charging its customers Rs 14 for carry bags. Chandigarh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has dismissed an appeal of Jubiliant Food Works Limited. The company in the defence stated that there was no law to prohibit sellers from charging for carry bags. Domino's was earlier involved in a similar case in February 2019 year but it didn't learn a lesson from that.
