Coronavirus effect: Sensex plunges 2,991 points; trading halted for 45 minutes
Coronavirus hit the trading sector hard yet again as BSE Sensex plunged 2,991 points to 26,924 while NSE benchmark Nifty fell 824 points to 7,903. The market lost Rs 10 lakh crore in Monday’s early trade benchmark as the bloodbath at the Dalal Street continued. As a result, trading was halted for 45 minutes. This was the second instance when the trading was halted this month due to the novel Coronavirus' impact.
