Civil Aviation Minister: Pakistan airspace closure takes a heavy toll on Air India, 13 lakh/day

Pak airspace closure has taken a heavy toll on Air India's business. Hardeep Singh Puri, civil aviation minister, said in the LS that due to the airspace restriction has led to the additional operating cost of Rs 13 lakh/day as the flying time increased by 15 mins & the Air India Express faces a daily loss of Rs 22 lakh due to re-routing of flights. He added that there is no fare hike & extra burden on passengers.
