Buzzfeed lays off 45 employees from newly acquired Huffpost

As many as 45 reporters, editors and producers have been laid off from HuffPost newsroom by the new owner of the firm-- Buzzfeed. The layoff was followed by the resignation of HuffPost Executive Editor Hillary Frey, the website’s executive editor, and Executive Editor Louise Roug. This comes just three weeks after the acquisition of Huffpost by Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed CEO Jonah Peretti spoke about restructuring in a meeting.
