Budget 2020: 2.83 lakh crore to Irrigation and rural development, Fish production to be raised to 200 lakh tonnes by 2022

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government aims to raise the Fish production to 200 lakh tonnes by 2022. Artificial insemination has been proposed to be expanded to 70 pc from 30 pc to increase livestock productivity. Rs 2.83 lakh crore fund for the development of Irrigation and Rural sector. Sitharamn outlined that by 2030 India is said to have the largest working population in the world.
