Bharti sets December 24 deadline for merger with Indus Towers

Telecom infrastructure giant Bharti Infratel has extended the deadline for merger of mobile tower company Indus Towers by two months setting it December 24 as it considers the regulatory uncertainty surrounding the deal. The delay will now see a lower payment to Vodafone Idea for its 11.15% stake. Experts suggested Vodafone Idea will be getting near about Rs 5,500 crore from the stake sale in Indus Towers.
