Bengaluru company booked by CBI for causing loss of Rs 200 crore to Indian Bank, e-Vijaya Bank

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a case against Bangalore-based Steel Hypermart India Private Limited for causing an alleged loss of over Rs 200 crore to two Indian banks. The case was lodged after complaints by Indian Bank. As per the allegations, Steel Hypermart availed credit facilities under consortium lending consisting of Indian Bank and e-Vijaya Bank and then defrauded the banks.
