Apple contract manufacturer Pegatron to make $150 Million investment to start manufacturing devices in India

Apple’s second-largest contract manufacturer Pegatron has green signaled an initial investment of $150 million in India to start manufacturing devices in the country. The Taiwanese firm has registered a subsidiary in Chennai and is eyeing an expansion in the country for which it is seeking land. Pegatron will manufacture handsets worth Rs. 4,000 crores in its first year. Foxconn and Wistron will also make Apple products in India.
