Existing investor Alibaba invested $50 million in the latest funding round for Big Basket to help in meeting the upsurge in demand for essential products during the lockdown. The funding will also help BB to cover short-term expenses. The delivery has witnessed disruptions due to the very high number of orders due to the nationwide lock-down.
