The Indian government has once again started approving foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals from China on a “case-by-case” basis after months of curbs that were imposed in view of the violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade had issued guidelines in April that mentioned that FDI from countries sharing borders with India will need government approval.
