10% of LIC IPO likely to be reserved for policyholders

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had mentioned the launch of LIC IPO during her Budget 2021 speech. The IPO is set to launch in the next financial year. According to the Dipam secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey, 10 percent of the Life Insurance Company (LIC) IPO could be reserved for policyholders. The central government aims to raise Rs 1.75 lakh crore through disinvestment in the next financial year.
