Toyota refutes report saying it was halting expansion in India

A day after reports emerged that automobile-giant Toyota was planning to halt its expansion in India owing to the country's high tax regime, the Japan-based company has rebuffed the claims saying that it remains committed to the Indian market. Vikram Kirloskar, vice-chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motors said the local unit of Toyota is going to invest 2000+ crore towards the electrification of vehicles.
