Leaked emails reveal a design flaw in Tesla's Model S battery that can lead to breakdown & fires

2012 emails leaked from Tesla has revealed a design flaw that could have resulted in leaks inside the battery. Those leaks, in turn, can cause the battery to short or leave a flammable residue. The issue was a poorly designed cooling mechanism and the end fitting of the cooling coil was made from weak aluminium. The cooling coils were tested twice & end fittings didn't meet the chemical requirements.
