BMW to shut down European factories over virus

German auto giants BMW are closing their European and South African factories shuttering half of its output for a month as part of the coronavirus containment measures. They also warned profits this year will be significantly lower. Around Europe, others like including Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler, Volkswagen, Ford, Fiat and Peugeot are also closing factory doors for the time being due to the coronavirus crisis.
