Taylor Swift is an American Singer and Songwriter from the United States known for her inspirational song lyrics. Taylor Swift is popularly known as Swifty, Aly, Tails, TayTay, T-Swift, and Tay. She is one of the most popular and successful pop stars in the United States.
Bio and Date of Birth:
Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She was born to Scott Kingsley Swift {father), a former stockbroker for Merrill Lynch, Andrea Gardner Swift (mother), a home-maker. Taylor Swift was named after singer-songwriter James Taylor, and she has Scottish heritage. She comes from a family of artists. Taylor's grandmother Marjorie Finlay was an American opera singer. Taylor's brother Austin Swift is also an actor.
Taylor Swift started singing at the age of 10. She sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game at the age of 11 and started writing her own songs. Taylor also started learning guitar at the age of 12.
She attended preschool and kindergarten at the Alvernia Montessori School. Next, she went to The Wyndcroft School. Taylor and her family shifted to a lakefront house in Hendersonville, Tennessee, when she was 14. There she attended Hendersonville High School.
Career
Taylor Swift's musical career started in 2004 when she started working with experienced Music Row songwriters such as Troy Verges, Brett Beavers, Brett James, Mac McAnally, and the Warren Brothers. Taylor was still in school when she started writing songs. She became the youngest artist to be signed by the Sony/ATV Tree publishing house. She was hired by Big Machine Records and started working on her eponymous debut album. She wrote three of the album's songs herself.
Her second studio album, Fearless, came out on November 11, 2008. She released five singles between 2008 and 2009 and has never looked back since then. All five singles receive remarkable responses from the audience. She also featured on John Mayer's single "Half of My Heart" and Boys Like Girls' single "Two Is Better Than One". Taylor also co-wrote the two singles.
