Officials said that the reason behind the death of numerous elephants in Botswana could possibly be due to the natural toxins produced by bacteria in water bodies. The official number of remains were found to be 356 but researchers suggest it to be more than that. Despite 4 months of investigation, authorities have not been able to pinpoint the exact cause of 281 elephants death. Samples are sent to various labs for testing.
